Using our service, you can check spelling of an entire site, on a single page or a text fragment. The service checks spelling in many languages, including Afrikaans, Arabic, Belarusian, Bulgarian, Bosnian, Catalan, Czech, Danish, Dutch, German, Greek, English, Esperanto, Estonian, Basque, Persian, French, Galician, Croatian, Hungarian, Indonesian, Icelandic, Italian, Kazakh, Kurdish, Latvian, Lithuanian, Luxembourgish, Norwegian, Maltese, Macedonian, Mongolian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Slovak, Slovenian, Swedish, Serbian, Spanish, Swahili, Turkish, Vietnamese, Ukrainian, Welsh.
When checking a site entirely, you need to determine the settings for the scanning robot. The required settings are two - the URL and the language of the site. In the remaining settings, you can leave the default values. Using optional settings you can determine what URLs to skip when scanning, determine through the ID or CLASS attributes, elements, the contents of which do not need to check, set a list of words that can not be verified. Also you can limit the depth of site scanning and the number of checked URLs. It is possible scan a site in single-threaded or multithreaded modes.
Based on results of the audit, the report will be generated containing URLs and words in which spelling errors are detected. Words that will not be found in the system dictionary, proper names, etc., you will can add to your own dictionary (list words to ignore). The report can be downloaded in CSV format in UTF-8 encoding. Having fixed found errors, you can rescan individual pages or an entire site.
The report contains several sections, showing spelling errors in the contents of the pages, in the title, in the meta tags description and keywords, in the tags h1, h2, h3, h4, h5, h6, in the anchors of the hyperlinks, in the alt attributes of the images, and the title attributes of the page elements, and also in the options tags of the <select> elements.
You can also manage the scanning robot, using instructions in the robots.txt file for User-agent: Spellaudit. If instructions for Spellaudit will not be found, the robot will follow instructions from the section User-agent: *.
